Product Description: A miniature white wooden coffin sealed with eight nails. On the coffin’s lid are the words ‘R.I.P Lucy Westerna’.
Upon opening, a china doll is revealed. Her dress has imprints of text upon it, and is an off-white. She has a neutral-toned Venetian mask on. When this is removed, the viewer can see that the doll’s eyes are a vibrant red, as are her lips. This contrasts her porcelain complexion and white dress. Equally, the lining of the coffin has been cushioned. The fabric is a silky white with glittering embellishment.

Ramayan

RAMAYAN

Product description:  A glossy, graphic novel depicting the tale of Ramayan. The aim is to teach children of morality, using the antagonist Ravana, as an example of corruptness (“lust, pride, anger”, etc.).  The sequential narrative details the birth of the protagonist, Rama, documenting his eventual defeat of the villain.

The book is extremely colorful; the Indian landscape is vibrant and green whilst the characters are adorned with gold and bright reds, yellows and greens.

Upon all 46 pages, a traditional gridded format is used. Speech and thought bubbles are used to convey communication.

Rainbow Swatches

Product description: Measuring 14cm x 4cm, “Rainbow Swatches” is an 8 page book created using a heavy duty tracing paper and bound with white tape. A bellyband is provided in the form of a monochrome printed definition of “rainbow”: “1. a bow-shaped display in the sky of the colors of the spectrum, caused by the refraction and reflection of the sun’s rays”.
Each page of the book contains a letter-pressed word (a color), printed in the relevant color.
The book in contained within a small brown envelope, stamped with “Rainbow”, as well as the edition number and a bar-code on the letters flap. The envelope is too large for the book, which alongside the tracing paper, adds an element of delicacy.
This artist book is a very honest depiction of the colored spectrum, achieved through the use of modest materials.

The book is altered for each new edition. This book purports to be a manual for running your own secret society. There are sections on secret handshakes, how to remain unnoticed and a loose card courtesy hand-markings recognition chart as well as a free computer enhanced match to destroy the book after it's been memorised. The introduction explains how it is better to be the only member of your society in order to remain secret in this nonsensical book. Each book contains a turquoise chart, small envelope with a secret password and match to burn the book

Reconstruct

RECONSTRUCT

Description: Hand stitched artist' book with a 130 pages: Length 350mm, Width 250mm, Depth 40mm. It has a hard back cover using suede patches stitched to millboard. The pages are made up of found books, stained and sewn, with photographic additions. A collection of used book pages from found novels attached through the use of a sewing machine, bound, stitched and glued to a hard back cover. The cover is made from suede patches with the title screen printed on to it. Using the literary text Frankenstein by Mary Shelly this book uses sewing and photography to show a reconstruction and remaking of a number of objects into a bookwork. The photography evidences the sequence of this remaking. The random use of the pages makes any narrative flow impossible.

Description: This is a collection of 4 books by different illustrators. Each book is made from inserts of cards in a hand made box. The indirvidual books consist of 10 pages each 130mm x 80mm . These books bring together elements of 'what makes a good night out'. Each book illustrates a different element such as drink, music and dance. they use the dingbat style game theory providing a pictorial clue on one side and the answers on the other.

Description: 400mm x 170mm, a double spiral-bound pair of books each of 20 pages.
The cover is clear acrylic closed with magnetic catches. Hand-cut rubberstamp icons are added to final printed pages. Several real capacitors and fuses are threaded into two of the pages. This is a book about computers. Do they really hate us? Why are computers so indignant when you want to open files, rewarding your impetuousness with spinning balls and hourglass icons. This is a book about technological brokenness. We rely more and more on technology and computers, ignoring the fact that there seems to be a mechanical revolt gradually gathering pace all around us - soon the only tasks left for us will be hand-drawing the Out of Order signs to hang on the machines.Over a period of time, IÕve been recording technology failures photographically as well as drawing the language of brokenness, cryptic messages such as, disc error and are you sure you want to shut-down? I've combined my photographs and drawings into this pair of books, added to this hand-cut rubber stamps of familiar computer icons - hourglass, watch, cursor arrow and older legacy icons such as the floppy disk.Scanned legacy peripherals such as scsi leads and old network cables tangle across the pages, to remind us just how fast technology is moving.The books work as a pair and should be opened and read simultaneously.
