A Little Book To Be Taken Out Always, Just In Case
A LITTLE BOOK TO BE TAKEN OUT ALWAYS, JUST IN CASE
Author Unknown
Product Description: A landscape, miniature book. The paper is a high gsm with a baby pink colouring. Each page contains inkjet printed type, the initial page containing the title, and the interior pages containing ‘Your number’ on the left-hand side, and ‘My number’ on the right. The type has been separate by a perforated edge. Presumably the owners of the book will write their own number prior to ripping it out and giving to another body. A thick strip of navy card surrounds the back and encases the spine of the book, thus adding structure.
Publication Details: 3 cm by 10 cm, High gsm paper encased in navy card.
A Love Obeah
A LOVE OBEAH
Layla
Product Description: A concertina book, bound with a
continuous length of string. This string can be tied around the books exterior.
The cover has been constructed using layered palm leaves. Each page has been
scored to leave a designated spine, thus allowing the book to stand up and
support itself.
The narrative follows the construction of a potion, although
the reader is initially led to believe it is a simple food recipe. Miniature,
hand rendered type is accompanied by various bags of ephemera. Within these bags
are various spices and nuts, progressing into a needle, a feather and a snippet
of genuine hair. The creepy narrative and sealed items, juxtapose the dainty, hand rendered
type and blank space.
Publication Details: Produced for a unit from BA (Hons)
